POSITION:   Field Sales Representative, Spectron GCS Coventry
SALARY:      Salary £38,000 - £42,000 per annum 
BENEFITS:   Company car, Mileage allowance and generous on target bonus, 25 days annual leave plus eight statutory bank holidays, Some overseas travel.
HOURS:        Full-time, Permanent
LOCATION:  (Home Office Based) Anywhere in the North of England / South of Scotland

Spectron is a global player in the supply of gas handling equipment into many differing industrial markets, as such this is a fast-paced sales-engineering environment with targets to acquire new customers, increase the revenue growth for an organisation, and make sure all aspects of the sales orders meet requirements of the clients and the company.
Due to continued success the company is seeking to recruit a Field Sales Representative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected company.

Job Duties:
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Carry out site visits within the sales area for new and existing customers, to identify sales opportunities and create relationships.
  • Produce quotations on your own or with the support of internal sales.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

  • Proven experience within the supply of equipment in the Gas sector beneficial but not necessary for the right candidate; Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Motivation for Sales.
  • Should be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), to include Maths, English and preferably a technical or science subject. - Ideally have a formal qualification - NVQ / ONC / HNC / Degree or apprenticeship served.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
  • Be flexible- Typically, you will spend 4 days per week visiting new and existing clients with at least one day in your home office, candidates can be based in Northern United Kingdom. Some overseas travel may be required.
