Putting the pressure control panel into a safe condition
In the event of interruptions in operation for more than 48 hours or pending maintenance or servicing, the pressure control panel must be put into a safe condition.
The process gas source must be connected during flushing (see "Connecting the process gas source"). Also observe the "Preparations for commissioning" chapter.
- Close process gas source and route off the acetylene located in the pressure control panel via the connected consumers.
- When this pressure relief or routing-off process is completed, the two pressure gauges on the pressure regulator must display the value "zero". Visual inspection!
- Close pilot pressure source valve.
- Vent the outlet pressure by opening the venting valve VV.
- Vent the pressure regulator of the pilot gas and the pilot pressure regulator by turning the handwheels anti-clockwise.
- Close the ball valve in the pressure control panel outlet.
- Detach the access line pilot pressure gas from the pilot pressure regulator inlet.
